Summary: Under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager and Group Consultant/Senior Group Consultant, coordinates internal operations and assists Group Consultants/Senior Group Consultant in meeting expected growth objectives. Essential Functions: •Assists in market identification and updating of account data via TMS/TS80. •Assists in rating process, including calculation of broker fees. •Prepares proposals, including rate calculation. •Completes the enrollment process with information provided from account and Rep for new groups. •Renewal processing including rate verification. •Performs service and retention functions for Sales Representatives assigned accounts. •Assists in developing sales aids and recommends improvement in sales materials where applicable. •Responds to questions, objections, complaints and concerns of customers either by written inquiries, phone, and walk-ins. •Conducts group administrator meetings and group employee meetings, where conflicts are possible. •Research and explain benefit options, underwriting regulations/laws associated with group sales and enrollment. •Requires ability to maintain confidentiality. •Reviews, inputs and submits Health Profiles to Underwriting. •Responsible for opening and closing office each business day. • The working condition is a normal office environment. There is a necessity to meet daily, weekly, and monthly timeframe constraints. Very heavy workload with frequent phone and walk-in interruptions. Position requires continuous mental effort. Can require lifting, bending and loading supplies and small office equipment up to 50 pounds. 35-50% of the day keying. Average percent on the telephone 35-50% of the day.

Qualifications: • High School graduate or equivalent is required. College Degree is preferred with emphasis in Business Administration. •A minimum of two years total experience in office administration and/or BCBSKS is required with emphasis in health care insurance preferred. • Requires strong oral and written communication skills with two years’ experience working directly with the public preferred. •Requires the ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of our product lines, underwriting regulations, provider contracts/agreements, including understanding of rating formulas and methodology to include the various funding arrangements such as ASO and fully insured, related operating policies, of the Corporation and its subsidiary. •Requires knowledge of public relations and human relation skills of understanding and motivating of people. • Requires the ability to acquire a thorough understanding of Corporate goals and objectives and the effect they have on the Group Sales Division. •Requires the ability to acquire an understanding of the general functions of other divisions and their role in assisting with Group Sales objectives. •Requires the ability to acquire a working knowledge of Blue Cross and Blue Shield systems and application and how they can be adapted to marketing’s use. • Requires proficiency with computer applications, such as Windows, Excel, and Word. Prefer the ability to type 45 w.p.m. •Requires the ability to make oral presentations to include sequential preparation of such presentation. •Requires the ability to acquire and maintain a State of Kansas Insurance Agent’s license within 120 days of employment. •A high aptitude in mathematics is preferred. Adequately passing a math aptitude test is required. • Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities and meet deadlines on a daily basis. Must be able to work independently. •Requires ability to withstand frequent and intense pressure as a result of demanding workload and must be able to handle in a positive and professional manner. •Possess high degree of honesty, loyalty, and integrity and maintain confidentiality. •Ability to communicate tactfully and accurately in a superior fashion with corporate staff, physicians, allied health professionals, hospital personnel, and other contacts through written and oral methods. •Travel on limited basis with requirement of a valid driver’s license. •Assists in enrolling new groups, with occasional on-site visits and aid in enrollment or delivering supplies/contracts, etc. and other contacts through written and oral methods. • Requires the ability to acquire a working knowledge of , ISIS, ALGS, SGIR, TMS, Imaging, MASK, LOTUS Notes, OTIS, OLRM, UA Desktop, , On-Demand, TROVE, etc. •Prefer 2 years PC experience. • Required to sign a non-compete agreement.
