SUMMARY: Assists the departmental manager in daily tasks to run the department efficiently. Must exercise initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May be assigned other duties as required or needed. • Define task for that shift to individuals as well as team • Make sure team has all items to complete the task (Start of shift – mid shift – end of shift) • Validate individuals are tracking to time allocations for job • Written pass down to next shift – communicate to supervisor pass down info • Make sure follow on shift has everything they need so there is no down time • Keep supervisor abreast of activates in your area thru-out the day • Inform supervisor immediately of any scrap in your area • Work with supervisor for root cause and corrective action for a permanent fix • Implement corrective action • Take a availability from team for overtime • Recommendation of overtime need to supervisor • Communicate to team by mid-shift who is working overtime • Turn in finalized overtime sheet to supervisor • All paper work is correct and signed off after each operation • Verify consumable supplies and communicate to supervisor any needs or concerns • People are adhering to scheduled break and lunch times • Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed • Assure the maintaining of a clean, orderly work environment • Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Departmental QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of and ability to perform various positions within Frames department. Blueprint/mylar reading experience. REASONING ABILITY: Must be quality conscious. Good logic with the ability to make sound decisions. Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Forklift certification PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to stand for extended periods of time. Good upper body strength with the ability to perform moderate repetitive movements which requires good use of hands/arms. Full range of mobility to include: pushing, pulling, turning, balancing, handling, stooping, kneeling and reaching. Good eyesight with above average hand/eye coordination.
