Summary of Responsibilities 1.Teach graduate courses in Audiology program. 2. Conduct research in area of interest. 3. Advise and mentor students. 4. Supervise student research. 5. Participate in departmental initiatives, including service to the Department, College, University and professional communities. 6. Supervise in-house practicum student assignments. Minimum Education •PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in Audiology or Hearing Sciences or related area of Communication Sciences and Disorders Minimum Experience •Evidence of engagement in research. •Clinical audiology experience. Knowledge, skills and abilities •Ability to teach courses in his or her field, with a commitment to promoting student scholarship in the classroom, clinic, instrumentation labs, and research activities. •Ability to contribute positively to the collegial culture of the Department. •Demonstrate ability to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers. •Demonstrate ability to work successfully with diverse populations. •Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches. •Demonstrate strong, effective communication (both oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and counseling skills. Required Licenses, Certificates & Registrations •ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). •Licensed or able to be able to be licensed to practice as an audiologist in Kansas.
