Summary Description: Responsible for performing day to day CMM Inspection of in-process components and other parts to ensure conformance to specifications and to support production on inspection issues. Job Duties and Responsibilities: •Operate CMM inspection machine using PCDMIS software. •Maintain inspection plans and use programs. •Compare customer supplied models with Point Compare. •Set-up and inspect the complete range of product, tooling and fixtures. •Study inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, processing procedures to insure quality of manufacture components. • Working knowledge of AS9102 FAI forms and processes to complete CMM portion. •Performs other duties as required by Quality Management. •Capable to perform In-Process or Final Inspection as needed. •Performs other duties as required by Quality Management. •Track gages and calibration of all tools in the CMM Lab. Abilities: •Ability to run multiple CMM inspection machines. •Capable of outstanding judgment interpreting complex drawings and specifications. •Ability to create PC-DMIS program from customer provided engineering. •Cabable of troubleshooting programs using conventional methods of inspection. •Knowledge of CMM operations and PCDMIS programming. •Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance. •Microsoft office basic computer skills. •Both oral and written communication skills. •Understanding and performing quality inspection studies such as SPC, Gage R&R, Capability Studies, etc. •Ability to perform bench top inspections using manual gaging techniques. •Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and TECT colleagues via telephone and e-mail. •Understanding of MRP systems and experience in daily use. •Must be able to stand and sit for extended times. •Ability to climb onto bed of CMM machine to perform set-up and measurements. •Ability to lift up 50 pounds if needed. •Ability to work in a professional manner. Level Requirements: •Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED). •Minimum of 5 years of CMM and PC-DMIS programming experience.
