Job Description: The Delivery Manager owns the Information Technology relationship with the Business Unit, delivering on their Information Technology needs. The role serves as an enabler for highly effective communication between IT and the Business Unit/IT executives who make the strategic decisions for their initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who operates with passion and confidence, and gets energized with developing and executing a plan that takes an organization from “good to great”. The Delivery Manager will oversee the Business Unit project portfolio and pipeline. Responsibilities also include overall status reporting, budgeting, resource management, reporting, training, oversight and executive level governance. The Delivery Manager is on point to manage and resolve escalations. Principal Responsibilities Include: • Partner with the Business Unit in executing on the Business Unit’s project and portfolio management vision. • Understand the business’s strategic goals and vision, ensures this is maintained within the team and that projects are aligned to the vision. • Liaison for and escalation point between the Business and IT • Ensure IT resources are fully utilized and appropriately deployed to support LOB and corporate objectives • Foster long-term senior level client relationships and individual IT relationships by understanding the business’s overall goals and acting as a trusted advisor to the business. • Monitor and track Business Unit IT budget and expenditures • Work with the Business to determine product roadmap / release schedule • Ensure capitalization targets are being met • Report, manage and track project requests across the program • Work with IT cross functional teams to determine sizing of projects • Review submitted business cases from the Business Unit; which includes approving or escalating • Help to resolve critical, high impact issues and risks when they are escalated from the business and/or team. • Supports the teams by understanding the business’ strategic goals and vision while questioning projects alignment to the vision. • Work with LOB to complete a business/product roadmap. • Planning and executing the delivery activities as defined in the life cycle as implemented. • Ensuring information is flowing appropriately, observed, analyzed and consumed by the team and used to improve delivery practices • Exemplify positive customer service behaviors and promote a culture focused on ensuring customer needs are met • Encourage a culture of innovation focused on adding value • Managing, and escalating risks from delivery activities to a greater governance structure when required Skills and Experience: • Great interpersonal and communication skills • Strong Customer Service Skills • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment • 8+ years’ experience in portfolio management, requirements definition and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems including • 7+ years managerial experience • 8+ years’ experience in delivering large complex projects • 5+ years in technology portfolio management, governance, and reporting • In-depth and demonstrated expertise in delivering people, process, and technology change • Track record of developing and enforcing project management procedures and policies • Strong vendor management experience • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills • Experience in reporting project status to management • Experience working in a Consulting Services Organization servicing external clients desired • Ability to manage independently in a dynamic environment with rapid development cycles, multifunctional teams and tight project timeframes Education: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, preferred • Agile Software Delivery experience is required • PMP Certification a plus • ITIL Certification a plus Travel: • 25% travel may be required FleetCor Technologies is a stable and financially strong organization that provides excellent training and development to support building the long term careers of our employees.
