Reports to: Production Manager Shift: 1st Shift Job Summary: The Line Lead is directly responsible for the production requirements and Human Resource utilization of their assigned line. They must support a lean culture of continuous improvement and focus on meeting customer demand to the benefit of the company. Job duties: This position is responsible to clearly communicate the expectations and challenges of the days production run to the assembly employees at the beginning of the shift and throughout the day as required. The 1st Shift Line Lead will represent their production area in the morning huddle and be prepared to report the prior day run statistics and address any concerns for the current day run. The Line Lead will process all scheduled jobs and utilize lean tools to fulfill customer demand. They will coordinate specifically with the Production Manager to assure the employees have the resources to meet customer demand throughout the production run. If issues occur, they are required to act with urgency and effectively use company resources to address and correct. The Line Lead will work directly with production management and Human Resources on all employee relations issues. The Line Lead is accountable for the day to day schedule of work and uses all tools available to ensure an even flow of production on the line they manage. The Line Lead is accountable for making sure all processes are followed including but not limited to equipment maintenance, scrap documentation and training records. Candidate Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment specifically in Assembly. Highly disciplined problem solver with a strong work history and attention to detail. Proven ability to work independently with self-motivation to improve production, lean and employee management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strengths in training assembly line workers. Must be approachable and professional in communications at all times. Prior experience in ERP/MRP systems. Must have Microsoft Office experience and the ability to operate a desktop computer. Specifically data entry in Word and Excel. Must have the ability to learn software applications in a quick and efficient manner. Preferred Candidates: Syteline experience highly valued. Prefer advanced manufacturing or technical training. Associates degree in applicable field. Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
