Summary: Interprets materials, manufacturing plans, machining capacity forecasts to create, organize, adjust and control the ERP/MRP master schedule and operations plans, including daily job releases and adjustments. Will identify, lead, and execute materials organization, scheduling, manufacturing and supply chain related continuous improvement activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborates with Program Managers to ensure that manufacturing demand is loaded accurately into the ERP / MRP • Develop manufacturing plans from the Master Schedule, adjusting and controlling it to meet customer requirements forecast • Measure the forecast accuracy. Evaluate Forecast versus orders and suggest corrective actions • Take direct responsibility and hands-on involvement on the execution of responsibilities and duties • Develop capacity planning and measure and communicate metrics to division senior leadership team • Follows processes that maximize inventory turns • Analyze inventory, managing slow-moving and obsolete stock, adjusting order quantities, reviewing, recommending & driving material substitution • Forecast staffing requirements and collaborate with HR team to ensure that requirements are met • Ensures the effective use of material, equipment and personnel • Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed • Monitor and manage the perishables expenses for the crew • Facilitate team building between crews and shifts • Facilitate continuous improvement projects • Direct, mentor, coach, and motivate staff • Communicate performance metrics • Track movement of parts through area • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts • Model desired traits • Accept and adapt easily to change • Support all Company policies and procedures • Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement • Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation • Meet physical demands of job with or without an accommodation • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 5+ years of experience preferred, including at least 1 year of leadership experience • Supply planning or supply chain certifications (CPIM, APICS, etc.) preferred • US citizen or permanent resident (ITAR compliance) • Knowledgeable regarding machining and production best practices • Experience implementing lean manufacturing methods • Effective coaching and performance management skills • Data driven & self-starter • Deep analytical skills • Innovative & creative with a quest for excellence • Demonstrated complex project management skills • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills • Collaborative approach – team mentality • Impeccable credibility • Leadership capabilities • Business acumen • Read, write, and speak English fluently • Sense of urgency • Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
