Perform Non-Destructive Inspection on aircraft components, test articles, and detail parts using pre-approved procedures to identify cracks, corrosion, or mechanical damage. Direct and train undergraduate and graduate assistants in the performance of daily laboratory activities with the objective of achieving optimal quality control, process implementation and project performance. Review existing laboratory procedure to ensure they are viable and current. Minimum Education •High School Diploma Minimum Experience •Two (2) – 12 years related experience Knowledge, skills and abilities •Qualified to NAS 410 in Eddy Current – Level II minimum (classroom hours, on the job training hours) •Ability to perform research in a laboratory setting. •Ability to operate engineering laboratory equipment. Required Licenses, Certificates & Registrations •US Citizenship required (work on US – ITAR programs) Preferred Education •Associates degree in related field Preferred Experience •Qualified to NAS 410 Level II minimum in Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic Inspection. •Experience working in a research laboratory with engineering lab equipment. •Experience performing laboratory procedures according to identified established standards and requirements. •Experience providing quality control within a research laboratory. •Previously certified Level II inspectors desired.
