Job Functions: The payroll processor will perform routine tasks associated with time, attendance, payroll processing and the support of Human Resources. • All duties related to the processing of in-house, bi-weekly payroll for 200 employees in-state, 200 employees out-of-state, to include, but not limited to: • Calculate, post and process payroll by established deadline; • Process payroll/benefit related reconciliations to general ledger; • Reconcile employee deductions; • Collect, compile and enter payroll data using appropriate software. • Verify attendance, hours worked, and adjustments, and post information onto designated records. • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. • Process benefits payments and monthly benefits auditing. • Assist with new hire process. • Other payroll and human resources related duties. • Review and reconcile computerized transactions for labor costing and attendance for payroll. • Use problem solving and communication skills when reviewing labor and attendance transactions to detect and reconcile discrepancies. • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures. Skills Required: • Solid data entry skills. • Understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, excel, and HRIS systems. • Knowledge of payroll practices and procedures. • Knowledge of payroll laws. Education and Experience Required: • Associate’s Degree in business or accounting. • At least 5 years’ experience in payroll processing • Experience with multi-state payroll processing, including California, preferred.
