Job Summary: Responsible for integrating and implementing the electronics portion of new products into meter and pump production. This position provides electrical design interface between the designed product and manufacturing. This involves collaborating closely with innovation and product engineers to design electronics for optimal quality and manufacturability. This role supports electronics for both meter as well as pump product lines. Job duties: Works in close collaboration with Innovation and Product Design Engineering teams from design concept inception to optimize the design for quality and manufacturability. In collaboration with product design engineer, will help validate the performance of the product in the engineering lab or assembly environment. Develops calibration, configuration, and functional test standards in collaboration with product design engineers. Responsible for developing, or facilitating development of, electronics assembly methods and equipment, meter calibration and equipment, meter electronics configuration and equipment, firmware loading to circuit boards and equipment, and functional test methods and equipment. Works in close collaboration with Operations and Process Engineering to ensure manufacturing assembly effectiveness and to champion all changes that may affect production. In collaboration with product engineers, troubleshoots electronics-related problems with products transitioning to production. Trains production and Customer Service employees for all electronics assembly, configuration, test methods and equipment usage instructions. Candidate Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or completion of accredited electronics technical school training program with 2 -5 years work experience in a similar design/build manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with leaders, teammates and manufacturing employees in a collaborative manner. Must be able to facilitate training with all education levels. Teamwork Strong understanding of team dynamics and fosters teamwork. Proven proficiency at reading and interpreting electronics schematics. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS office products. Preferred Candidates: Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with related job experience. Prior experience working with fluid movement and measurement. LabView Software programming experience.
