This position involves knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with the utmost discretion. 1. Conducts Kaizen Events, while leading projects with plant layout and streamlining processes for departments. 2. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. 3. Become the key driver for moving from detection to prevention for safety, quality, and production. 4. Manages labor tracking and manpower requirements. 5. Responsible for monitoring and controlling on time delivery requirements. 6. Responsible for establishing a training plan for each individual, referencing problem-solving skills, to include a training strategy, identification of strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. 7. Responsible for implementation of In-Process Inspection points and the Manufacturing Inspector program. 8. Responsible for producing parts according to quality and customer requirements. 9. Enforces policies and procedures. 10. Accountability for tardiness and absenteeism, including daily recordkeeping. 11. Production Supervisors to be available 30 minutes prior to the start of the assigned shift. 12. Conducts internal audits on job tracker clocking to ensure accounting accuracy of labor tracking and labor charging. 13. Production Supervisors may conduct Ops Reviews with the General Manager and Staff. 14. Reviews current capacity utilization to plan. 15. Responsible for the implementation of standards and the review of standard cost of production. 16. Conduct assessment and implementation of an aggressive Cost Savings Program for scrap, rework, repair and downtime. 17. Stringent analysis of current performance is the key to meeting all of the business plans. The day- to-day management of these basic metrics is the key to allowing the organization to move forward toward the company strategies, Mission and Values. 18. Plans, prioritizes and assigns work for production employees across multiple shifts, work centers and workloads. 19. Supervises employees in assigned areas in accordance with company policies and state/federal laws and regulations. 20. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. 21. Monitors maintenance needs to ensure minimal production disruptions. 22. Supervises all production to ensure product is produced per customer requirements and delivered consistently on time and at a high quality level. 23. Ensures material issues are captured and accurate. 24. Supervises documentation and adequate training of personnel. 25. Ensures minimal idle time shop-wide. 26. Ensures a safe work environment and that all appropriate procedures are followed. 27. Reviews backlog to ensure adequate lead time is maintained on high labor jobs. 28. Monitors productivity and efficiency for the reduction of scrap and rework. 29. Monitors implementation of good corrective actions.

Helpful Information:

1. BS in Business or other related field preferred. 2. Two to five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment working is required. 3. Blueprint and customer specifications experience is needed. 4. Some experience in estimating is needed. 5. Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean training and experience desired.
