This is electrical work maintaining, replacing, installing and changing traffic signals, controllers, and related equipment. Work is performed in the field and in the shop. Work is directed by a higher level technician or technical supervisor. Required: *Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas class A commercial driver's license, with an air brake endorsement. *Ability to maintain a Journeyman electrician certificate

Five years of experience and/or training in electrical troubleshooting, including specific experience and/or training in solid state electronics and systems diagnostics. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. A City of Wichita approved and registered journeyman electrician certificate is required. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of the results of a criminal record check.
