Kansas Department of Commerce
Working in partnership with the Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas, the Kansas Department of Commerce administers the KANSASWORKS workforce system, which links businesses, job seekers, educational institutions and training providers to ensure the state's workforce is equipped to meet industry needs.
Kansas Department of Labor
KDOL has many important responsibilities. The agency administers the Unemployment Insurance Program and processes claims for unemployment benefits. KDOL operates the state’s Workers Compensation system and enforces Kansas employment standards including wage and hour laws and child labor laws. The agency also houses a research unit that compiles critical data on employment in Kansas.
The National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) is a nationally directed program created by Congress in response to the chronic seasonal unemployment and underemployment experienced by migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFWs). The NFJP offers assistance that strengthens the ability of farmworkers and their families to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Since its inception with the passage of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, the farmworker program has been an integral part of the national workforce strategy.

Co-located at the Wichita Workforce Center, the mission of the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is to protect children and promote adult self-sufficiency.

Focused on improving the day-to-day lives of people with disabilities, CPRF works to eliminate barriers to independence at home, in the workplace and throughout the community for people with disabilities.

ResCare Workforce Services (JET Program)
Co-located at the Wichita Workforce Center, ResCare Workforce Services, a ResCare company, provides job-readiness workshops, guided job search and work experience opportunities to TANF recipients. With a referral from Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, participants work toward gaining self-sufficiency. ResCare Workforce Services strives to serve the needs of job seekers, employers, and government partners while holding fast to the belief that people want to work, to be productive, to reach their potential.
Sedgwick County Human Resources
Co-located at the Wichita Workforce Center, Sedgwick County Human Resources assists customers seeking employment with Sedgwick County and coordinates all pre-employment testing services.
Senior Services, Inc.
Co-located at the Wichita Workforce Center, Senior Services, Inc. of Wichita is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering innovative, effective programs that allow older adults and their families to lead quality lives and to continue to make positive contributions to the community.
United Way of the Plains
The mission of United Way of the Plains is to improve lives by mobilizing resources to meet community needs. United Way of the Plains is currently coordinating a Laid-Off Workers Center to assist laid-off workers in Sedgwick, Butler and Sumner counties.
