Imagine Academy is a program offered by the Kansas Board of Regents. The Workforce Center was awarded 500 licenses to administer Microsoft Certifications to the public at no charge (normal charge through Microsoft is $96 per test). The Wichita Workforce Center is the only location in Local Workforce Area IV that can administer the Certifications, however customers may self-study or practice at any Workforce Center in the region. The Workforce Center is currently offering testing for Word 2013, Excel 2013 and PowerPoint 2013.
1: Workshops/Self-Learn for Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 workshop is not currently being offered at the Workforce Center, however, testing for PowerPoint Certification is available (information on Certification testing is available below). Please check back for future dates for the PowerPoint workshop. Self study material is available below.

2: Prove It Test for Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint 2013
Prove It tests for Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint must be passed with an 80% or higher. Prove It tests are available at any Workforce Center in Local Area IV. Click here for a list of locations and hours. No appointment necessary.
3: Basic Career Services Eligibility
Basic Career Services Eligibility is available at any Workforce Center in Local Area IV. See link above for locations and hours. No appointment is necessary.
4: Imagine Academy Class
Imagine Academy Class is for additional practice to prepare customers for the Certification. Participants must pass the Pre-test for Word, Excel, and or PowerPoint with an 85% or higher in order to take the certification test.
5: Certification Test
Certification testing is held on Mondays between 1pm – 5pm and Fridays between 9am – noon.
Workforce Center staff will be in contact to schedule Certification Tests once a customer passes the Prove it test and completes the Basic Career Services Eligibility.
