The National Fund for Workforce Solutions invests in a dynamic national network of 30+ communities taking a demand-driven, evidence-based approach to workforce development.
At the local level, National Fund partner organizations contribute resources, test ideas, collect data, and improve public policies and business practices that help all workers succeed and employers have the talent they need to compete. The National Fund leverages the expertise of local leaders to share learning across the network and identify trends, opportunities, and best practices, changing the conversation around workforce development to promote equity and drive greater impact.
The Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas has been a local collaborative site of the National Fund since 2008, working in sector strategies to create a more accessible and flexible employment and training system to move both unemployed and underemployed workers into high-demand, high-skilled careers in Aviation/Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Information Technology, and Construction.
