Chad contacted the American Job Center seeking assistance in changing careers due to a layoff from the automotive industry.  Chad had been employed as an automotive painter earning $19.00 before his layoff.  He expressed an interest in Healthcare, a completely new industry for him.  Chad knew he would need training and support to switch careers.

After some initial career services, Chad enrolled in a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at a local training provider earning both a Certified Nurse’s Aide and LPN license. Soon after, Chad was able to obtain full-time employment as an LPN, earning $23.00 per hour with full benefits.
