Interested in making use of Registered Apprenticeships in your business?

The Workforce Alliance can provide $2,000/apprentice* for Related Technical Instruction. Funds are prioritized for advanced manufacturing including semi-conductor production, maintenance repair and overhaul, healthcare and childcare, or other in-demand occupations in South Central Kansas. 

Through the MeadowLARK Grant, the Workforce Alliance can assist companies in creating and registering a new apprenticeship program and/or serving as an intermediary.      MeadowLARK Grant Flyer      MeadowLARK Grant Supportive Services Flyer

Intermediary Responsibilities

• Input documents into RAPIDS:  Signed Standards, Appendix A, and AAP if they submit one at the time of registration (required within 2 years), and Appendix D’s (if the Program Sponsor is an intermediary).
• Add apprentice information and upload the signed Apprenticeship Agreements (671) once the apprentice has been hired. Signatures can be obtained one of two ways:  Generating a DocuSign Apprenticeship Agreement in RAPIDS or printing out the Apprenticeship Agreement in RAPIDS, getting signatures and then uploading the Agreement back into RAPIDS.
• Update apprentice’s expected completion date and information as needed.
• Add RTI providers in RAPIDS and update as needed.
• Add wage schedules and update as needed.
• Stay in contact with employers and apprentices throughout the apprenticeship.
