YEP Essential Skills workshops are a great way for young adults to help them prepare for work experiences and life after school, and they help promote the skills employers need in their workplaces and prepare teens for real-life situations they will experience on the job. This workshop will help make the young adult a more well-rounded, desirable, and qualified candidate. Many employers request that young adults go through workshops before starting a work experience.

Young Adults earn their Essential Skills Certificate after participating in the three-part YEP workshop which consists of:

•  Workplace Etiquette
•  Financial Literacy
•  Keys to Employment

Camp HYPE

Camp HYPE is a free 4-day summer camp where Young Adults ages 14 to 18 learn firsthand about career fields they are interested in; this summer camp is held from 9 AM to 4 PM throughout the majority of the summer with each camp being sponsored by a different industry or business. Young Adults who participate in Camp HYPE will be paid a stipend of $200 following the end of camp for their punctuality, attendance, and participation.  

Young Adults are only allowed to attend one camp due to spacing, as this allows for more students to attend.
