The Wichita Workforce Center serves as the region’s front door to employment, training, and workforce development services. Each year, thousands of individuals access career guidance, skills training, job search assistance, workshops, and connections to quality employment opportunities through the Workforce Center network.
In 2025 alone, the Workforce Alliance reached more than 112,000 individuals through in-person and virtual services, assisted 815 employers with workforce solutions, hosted 46 job fairs serving more than 4,600 job seekers, expanded Registered Apprenticeships to a record 925 apprentices, and helped participants earn nearly six dollars in wages for every dollar invested through workforce development programs. These outcomes are made possible through the dedication of staff and strong partnerships with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and public sector leaders.
The redesigned Wichita Workforce Center creates a more welcoming, collaborative, and customer-focused environment for job seekers, businesses, and workforce partners. By co-locating Workforce Alliance administrative offices and Workforce Center operations, the facility is positioned to improve coordination, strengthen partnerships, and better serve the workforce needs of our region.
Following the ribbon cutting, the Workforce Alliance Board of Directors will convene its regularly scheduled meeting at 10:00 a.m. Guests are welcome to remain and observe the meeting.
